The Folklore spectacles are of high artistic value and demonstrate in a unique way the power of Bulgaria’s various ethnographical musical and dance traditions. The goal of the spectacles is for the visitors to get an overall picture of the country’s most impressive folklore legacy.
The project is aimed at a broader audience – foreigners visiting Bulgaria, Bulgarians living abroad, as well as those who live here but have lost the bond with the authentic music and dance rituals, which have kept the Bulgarian spirit alive throughout the centuries.
The National Palace of Culture is perfectly located regarding public transportation, parking lots and pedestrian areas. The Palace is designed to host a wide range of events and can offer a variety of halls that can meet the highest requirements. Furthermore, the spaces adjacent to the halls are ideal to exhibit goods related to Bulgaria’s folklore traditions and handcrafts.
The first Traditional Bulgarian Evening will take place on the 6th of June 2016, in Hall 8 of the National Palace of Culture, at 7:00 pm.
The spectacle is designed and performed by ensemble “Chinari”.
